Happy new year, everybody!

Happy new year, everybody! May 2016 be a creative year for you all, full of those little surprises and successes that make life all the more inspiring.

I know it’s kind of late in the season for wishes and the such but, as you may have noticed, site updates have been kind of slow around here. But I have some awesome excuses for it:

First off, according to my illustrious and most excellent webmaster, my site was taken down by hackers on December 31st. This means we had to revert to a previous backup version of the site and as a result you may find that a couple of my latest blog articles are missing.

Now, I’d love to tell you that this was a personal hacker attack, coordinated by my literary Nemesis; or, that my books are “too dangerous for the System” and therefore Men In Black took down my internet presence. The truth, however, is rather boring: in all probability I was just a randomly selected target by some fledgling hacker from North Korea or something who’s still learning his or her ABCs of electronic warfare.

Other than that, I’ve been going though some minor techno-hell problems with my primary computer. It is the curse of 21st century writers to be dependent on their machine in order to carry out their little daily writing rituals.

Still, even though I might have been on the silent side online, a lot of writing has been continuously taking place “backstage”. Quite a few exciting projects are under way and will see the official light of day within the year, starting early on.

For the immediate present I will try to get the site back to its former glory and rest assured that “updates are coming”. I'll even take up a sword, don a fur cloak and turn this statement into a meme if it'll help convince you.

M.K.
